About the Artist
Ted Stuckless was born in 1948 in the historic island community of Twillingate, off Newfoundland’s northeast coast. A self-taught artist, he built his early practice through remarkable resourcefulness — making his first brushes from his own hair and mixing soot with white paint to create his earliest works.
